Vaja cases for VPL

I'm starting to get a little annoyed at my current belt case, because it tends to hand out a bit from my belt and catch on chair armrests. I'm considering getting a Vaja belt case, and they look pretty neat.

I was wondering what people think of them that have used them. My requirements for a case are basically that they hold my VPL securely on my belt, but offer easy access to it.

There are several Visor cases on their website. Would the one for the Prism work for the platinum? The reason I ask is that I kind of like the idea of a magnetic closure as opposed to a snap closure.

Also, does the VPL need to be removed from the case to hotsynch?

thanks!

I've had one for a while and love it. There are two versions, with and without the belt clip. Like any belt clip case, they're prone to getting snagged on things if you're not careful. The belt clip holds it pretty securely to the belt, but a decent tug will yank it off your belt clip and all.

otherwise, my platinum fits into the case quite snugly. The only problem I had was the metal nub that slides into the belt clip broke. There's this little plastic plate its attached to that's sewn into the case which seemed to have broken in a few places on mine. not a problem though, since directcase.com happily replaced it for me (comes with a 1 year guarantee).

The Prism has the power button on the right side, while the Plat/Deluxe have the power button on the left side, so the prism case probably wouldn't work too well with the Plat unless you didn't want to turn it on.

Yes

Ditto imabugs coomeents sand the bit about the nub. I have several cases for my VPL, and I would say I use the Vaja the most. (I can't always use or need the belt clip design). It is very nice looking and people really take notice of your device. (Hey is that a palm pilot? -- no, it's a platinum)Anyways. I prefer the snap closure to the maganetic simply because I like the security of the "snap". Presonal preferences aside, I don't think there is a better work through case out there.

PS. I have the bown ostrich and am thinking of purcasing a plain black one.

Peace, Love War Visor
