What's your setup now? Are you sure you downloaded the right software--there's separate software for the Matchbook and the flashplus... You should be able to run stuff just fine with any visor... can you be more specific wrt your problem?

so far as I know, yes. What are your symptoms? I'm thinking that simply plugging it into an 0S3.5 device instead of an OS3.1 device won't fix your problem, and I'd hate for your new prism experience to be tarnished in that way.can you tell me exactly what works and what doesn't?

-PiDirect
-PiMover
-PiPrefs

And when I start PiDirect, it says "System Version 3.5 or greater" is needed. {etc. etc}

Well, it is the case that PiDirect needs OS 3.5. So if you are, in fact, using a MemPlug, the Prism may indeed fix most of your problems...
...Unfortunately, I know extremely little about the memplug.. if that's what you've got, maybe post a thread with "Memplug" in the title and you'll get some help from experts.
...if you have a FlashPlus, however, you'll need to clear that software off of it and reinstall the kopsis software.. [/B]

I simply love VC for all the friendly people here and all that I've learnt

Erm, what software do I have clear off my Deluxe? Those Pi apps that I mentioned in my earlier post are LOADED automatically when I insert the FlashPlus into my Visor.

And I forgot the most important part. When you get the FlashAdapter software loaded on from Kopsis, go to the Yahoo Groups for the best support for it:

Thanks man.
You've been a great help so far
I'll ask the seller how the software got onto my module first.
Then, I'll most probably email David (again). The last time I emailed him was when I ran into problems with my faulty module that I was sent for review (SPUG.org)
And another question.
I've used normal 8MB and 16MB Flash Springboards (those by Handspring and Hagiwara Sys), and moving files to them is very easy.
But how do I do it using the FlashPlus? (Provided that I solve ALL the problems above in this thread.)
Do I use PiDirect or PiMover, or just use FAFileMover (from my previous CF adapter) to move and copy files?
Or maybe LaunchPlug.com will be of great help
Anyway, thanks again dietrichbohn
I'll post here again once I get some answers.
PS: I'm in Singapore, so it's a Monday morning for me... now is about 10mins to 06:00am here

I would really love to know how the Portable Innovation Software got on there. That is just crazy.
As for LaunchPlug.com, it is great site for information on the MemPlug used in conjunction with LauncherIII.
Good luck getting everything worked out. I am sure Dave can help.

Hi guys, I talked to the seller who sold me the module, and she said that when she got it, the Pi-apps were already installed on it...

Hey Andre,
Sorry for the late reply, but I moved to a new office Friday and I'm just now getting caught up.
As for the PIT apps on your FlashPlus ... PIT has a *major* bug in thier ModuleUpdater app that will allow it to install the software to modules other than the MemPlug without any warning that it will not work and that it will destroy the existing module software.
Fortunately, it sounds like you figured out how to get the FlashAdapter software loaded back on. If anyone else runs into this problem, the FAQ on our website explains how to fix it.
Now, for running apps from CF you'll need the latest (3.5) release of LauncherIII or the latest version of SilverScreen or MegaLauncher 3. You'll also need to have a "PALM" directory in the root dir of your CF card. Under the PALM directory you need to have a "Launcher" directory. If you're using FAFileMover, you can't create both directories in one step. You need to create the PALM directory first then go into there and create the Launcher directory. Note that directory names are not case sensitive so "PALM" = "Palm" = "palm". Last but not least, you need to make sure that you have VFSHelper enabled and working. Run VFSHelper and tap the "Enable" button. The status message in VFSHelper should indicate "Enabled - card found".
Once you have "/PALM/Launcher" created you can use the launcher itself to move apps to the CF card. In LauncherIII simply drag the app icon to the "card" gadget at the bottom of the screen. Select "move" from the pop-up and the app will be moved to CF. Depending on how you have LIII set up, you may need to manually refresh the apps from the LIII menu. Your app should show up with a little card symbol in the icon's lower right corner. Tap the icon and your app will load and run from the CF card.
You may also want to take a look at the User's Manual that comes with the FlashAdapter software you downloaded. All this and more is explained in there.

Dave, can you e-mail me the FlashAdapter files? here
The one you sent me in the past were the Sept 19 2001 versions.
Thanks
Andre.
