Well, flying aging jets is a little more dangerous than drinking warm beer in a pub and "not inhaling".

You see this is the problem with America and Americans. They feel that the rest of the world cannot do without them.

Wasn't the man in question a Rhodes scholar? All the best drinks in England are warm.
Of course the "cool" London pub scene bears no resemblence to this.

That is true, and I knew it even as I was typing. However, i stated it the way i did b/c the initial point was basically "who stayed out of Vietnam."
P.S. Why do you think the beer was warm??

When I was there 24 years ago, the draft beer in the pubs was warm. They probably have cold beer now. England is very Americanized, oops I meant to say civilized now.
Well now that you bring this up...
Canada should have become part of the European Union than NAFTA. Canada and Canadians have similar views and values as the Europeans. Canada needs to diversify its trade.
With regards to the French issue, I am withdrawing what I said earlier. The French had no right to bully the future EU members in that way. The French did what they did in frustration and I wrote what I wrote in frustration.

As a Canadian and therefore a member of NAFTA, you should just be quiet and follow the United States on this.
Oh, I'm sorry -- that's just okay when it's France and the EU, isn't it?

This is why discussion like these are great! I, too, have changed some of my thinking after "talking" to you and ToolKit (you two in particular, but others as well)
For example, I have learned that just because I think the USA is the greatest land ever, doesn't mean that everyone shares my opinion, and, that it is okay that they don't. I am evaluating *why* governments and people act the way they do and, frankly, I am paying more attention to the news b/c I want to understand what y'all are talking about!!
Also, yardie--I love that you are big enough to flat out say that you are reevaluating your previous post and why. Good show!

Same thing in holland, drinking Corona is considered cool...
I guess it is the same thing with Heineken being a premium beer in the rest of the world while it is a very normal beer in Holland (like bud in the US)
I consider it exactly in the same boat as Bud. It's slightly better if it's been stored properly (green bottles and beer should never mix), but on average, it's an EIL (European Industrial Lager).
I will join the discussion when you guys start talking about wine. All beer taste disgusting. I don't know how people can drink that thing.

Green bottles... argh.. one of my favorite beers is Grolsch, but they put the export stuff in green bottles.. That plus a month long boat trip to Sydney changes the tast considerately... the local Grolsch is 10x better than the export stuff.. it is the only lager that really stands out between other lagers (ie in a blind test you pick the Grolsch easiest).
Going to Uni in the town of the Grolsch brewery got me hooked on it, however given the taste an price of th export stuff I hardly ever drink it anymore..

Do they still put it in the bottles with the little gasket plugs? I haven't had any since I was in Amsterdam many years ago.
