Well, I have a Hagiwara's 16MB Flash Moduel, I have all my apps on it, and yestorday I was showing my friend the Springboard slot, and after I put the flash moduel back into the springboard. It give me a "Fatal Alert, DataMgr.c, Line:3362, Null dbID passed" it also have a reset button on it, but the whole Prism just frezes, can't do anything untile I resets it, but after the reset, it just give me the same Fatal alert agian. I tried every other way to get it back to work, it just won't, I did a hard reset, and copyed old files onto the internal memory, and it still don't work.

I wonder if any of you have experienced a similar situation. If you have, please let me know how to solve it, I am very frustrated.

I had the same trouble. So i contacted the guys that made it and the sent me a fix that will reformat the 16mb flash module and everything is working fine now so shoot them an e-mail and i am sure they will send it to you with no trouble.

What kind of "fix" did they send you? Luckily I haven't had any problems, but I am a worrier, so... Is this software readily available (the one which reformats the 16mb module)

I had a similar problem with the 8 MB Flash module. Some apps will do this when installed on the Flash Module and they don't have a data file already in RAM. I was lucky because I knew just what I had moved to flash and was able to put another copy into RAM and run it before inserting the module.

I know nothing about programming,
but I believe that hardware is solid.

It seems to be the combination of some programs that cause conflicts.

Now enter in the factor of more storage and one has the ability to add more potential conflicts.

The hardware has the ability to pull out of the nosedive, but one has to search out and destroy the offending program.

In my case, it meant hand-loading over 300 programs one at a time and testing.

I'm lazy, and I practice unsafe unprotected internet sex by downloading anything that moves, and picking up the pieces later if I get caught. Very time-consuming.

The lesson is to use only Platinum rated programs, or go to the web site that lists conflicting programs before downloading.

My worst crash came after downloading a 3-year old program that was written before developers knew whatever they know now or are designing for. The developer said they ..."don't support it anymore", and I quickly found out what that meant...conflicts with programs written years later.

I told a colleague I believed PDAs were part magic.

He agreed, saying;

"Yes, they ARE part magic. The rest is PURE EVIL."
