I talked to someone at handspring that said you can't synch using your USb port if you OS is windows 95. He said I needed to buy a serial cradle. Does this sound accurate? It didn't to me...It seems like if you have a USB port you shoule be able to use it in 95 or 98.

It's true ... Windows 95 USB support is marginal at best and isn't reliable for synching.

It's possible that it would work, but Micro$oft's USB support under '95 ranges between minimal and nonexistant depending on your build, so Handspring is (correctly) taking the line that it won't work.
