iBIZ Technology announced today versions of its KeySync Keyboard and Folding Travel Cradle that are compatible with the Handspring Visor. From the press release:

The KeySync keyboard will be upgraded to be compatible with the Handspring devices, while remaining compatible with most other handhelds. A new model of the iBIZ Folding Travel Cradle has been designed specifically for the Handspring line. Both will be available in full retail distribution and on the Internet in time for this year's busy holiday season. iBIZ reports it has already received orders for nearly 10,000 of the Handspring accessories.
The Visor seems to finally be coming into its own, with more than just a few options for many of the accessories that are available.

I won't abandon the Stowaway for it, but damn, that's a nice keyboard. As far as one-piece keyboards go, it looks way better than the GoType, since it has professional, full-sized keys.

It's great that we're seeing a bunch of new products for the Visor. Now just gimme the cell phone module!

Miradu-- I did a quick search and discovered that between Best Buy, CompUSA and Staples there are over 1581 retail outlets. So stock each of those with just 5 units gives you 8000 units and then 2000 or so for other outlets/online orders/corporate orders/etc.. Granted, this might not be the case for this particular product, but I wouldn't say this scenario is unreasonable.

Two thumbs down. I don't see the point of releasing a new keyboard at this stage of the game. I don'[t think it fills a need like the Stowaway (small. compact, full size) and the GoType (sturdy, relatively small, clam shell).

I like that keyboard. It's not going to replace the stowaway in any manner, but for those who want to use the Visor as a replacement for a Laptop, then it would be perfect. It looks extreemly durable, and something tha I would get and then leave at my desk at home to do work there.

It's not new, they are just introducing the Handspring Visor version. It fills the niche for a small size keyboard with full size keys (GoType's aren't) and a rigid physical format (Stowaway isn't).
