another PC, a 400 mhz gateway with 128 mb of ram and 10 gig HD is on the team soon! Also- max out the HD space allocated, it doesnt use it but gets you more points!

Happy Treo 600 user, so far. Thanx Cingular for having an unlocked phone.

My Treo 600 is my phone, my PDA, my watch, and my MP3 player. Oh yeah, I take a picture once in a while with it. Convergence is such a great thing.

I'm well.... stuck. My 400 is working (slowly) and every time my 1.1 gets near the end (slowly) it loses all my progress. My team is still trying, though.

Howdy, gang; just wanted to let you know that I have applied 3 wimpy machines to the grand effort:

PII 400, 128MB, NT, full-time
PII 350, 128MB, NT, screensaver
Cyrix 233, 96MN, NT, full-time

My poor little Cyrix box has been grinding away for 128+ hours on it's first WU. It is nearly done, and has 11 hits. How many hits do you folks usually get?

I seem to be n� 11 for the sake of VISOR, but considering the aim of UD have also passed on recommendation to a group of British businesses in Toulouse to start their own team.

However, to make things really move, I would suggest that a more direct title (e.g. HELP YOUR PC TO AID CANCER RESEARCH) would attract more interest & why not ask Handspring to put an announcement in their various newsletters (they have them in a number of languages).

My machine - DELL Dimension XPS R400 - is not up to much in today's terms, but the UD agent insists that its HD is only 1 gig when it is 8.4. Should I/how can I change that info if it will make a difference to team results???

Anyway, my agent is on permanent run, so here's to a steady increase...

Ah... right... as things are, 1gig is about all I can offer for the mo, but thanks for the info. I will update as & when possible.

Still, have got 25% of my first task completed so far, & I love the 'screen saver'.

Glad to see that science has learned something from the arts to improve its visual communications!
