-- Searching for text within a memo (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=9613)
Is there any way to do a search WITHIN a memo item? It seems that the basic search feature identifies the memo items containing a given word without locating the specific occurrence(s) of that word...
Intelligent Find
General Microsystems makes a program called IntelligentFind 2.0 which has a url of the same name. This program will find all occurrences of a word or pharse and you can set some other criteria as well in order to find what you are looking for anywhere on the device.
PalmGear also has it.

FindHack is also a really good app for doing this...

Thanks!
Thanks to both of you!
I use Virtual Keyboard it's free at http://www.freewarepalm.com/ you have to go into the keyboard but it has icons for cut, copy, paste, find, select, undo, redo and shortcuts.
Find will highlight the first occurrence of the search text within a record, just tap on that record in the results list. Also note that Find searches the current app first.
FindHack allows searching the current app only, as well as saved searches and wildcards.
MagicText allows find and replace within a specific record (including memos). It also has lots of other cool features like double tap to select, drag'n'drop, multi-clipboard, encryption, and more. It's not cheap, but a great product and well supported. http://www.synsolutions.com
