Prism will not shut off.
I have had my prism for about a month and I love it
except for one problem. It turns on in the case I bought
for it
and doesn't shut off. I purchased the custom case made
especially for the prism. I can't see what would be
pushing the on button, but even if it did it
should turn off in two minutes. Quite a few times
I have taken the case out of my purse and the
prism is on and it is very very warm and the battery
is just about drained. Anyone else have this problem?
Do you think it is a faulty prism?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Go into your preferences application under "general" and be sure that your "off after..." setting is set for 2 minutes or whatever you want to set it for. If that doesn't do it, you either have something in the case pressing on the on button, or a defective unit. I do hope this helps.

Once the prism is on, pushing ANY button is enough to keep it going for another 2 minutes (or whatever yours is set to). Which case are you using?

I had the same problem when I was using a Slipper case with a Deluxe. I had too much stuff shoved in the flip cover, so it bulged out and kept touching the screen. The unit thought it was "active", so it stayed on. (I was also getting scratches on the screen protector.)
Taking the stuff out of the flip cover solved my problem. Hope yours is as simple to solve, and you don't have a bad Prism...

I'm pretty much just reinforcing what has already been said here. When I first started using a case for my prism, I had the same problem. I was using the slim bi-fold case made for the prism. I had my alarms set to go off before lunch and after break. Once the unit was turn on from the alarm, the constant pressure of the other things in my case against the screen kept the visor on. Something similar is probably happening here.
Just perform a simple test. Take your prism out of the case, set it on a table or something, turn it on and if it turns off by itself, you know the problem is either too much stuff in your case, it's closed to tightly, or it is bouncing around in your purse.
