-- ISP advice (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=10168)
Hi all. I need your advice on which ISP to get after my year of free Gateway ISP service runs out. I am going back and forth between a landline modem and a wireless modem. I live in Columbia, S.C. and since there is so little wireless coverage here, I'm wondering if I should wait for the wireless modem and get a Thinmodem + soooo.... any ideas on which ISP to go with? Thanks!
I've had the best luck using EarthLink with the Visor. I've tried a few of the free ones without much success.

least expensive ISP
What is the cheapest ISP out there? The one I found was the Juno premium service which runs $10/month, but I'm not sure they will support PDA browsing.
i agree with Mark, i use mindspring (part of earthlink...which has the benefit of being able to use either earthlink OR mindspring numbers to call in!)
I've never had a problem dialing in from around the country into mindspring/earthlink numbers (even in Canada!).
Their customer service is REALLY good (had problems with home computer once and their tech support was great!)

Stealth-Mod.
I third Mindspring internet service. I use their DSL internet service, and with it I get 30 to 40 hours of dial-up per month for free. I have had to call the tech support numerous times over the years (faults to do with the computers, not the service), and their support has been unquestionably the best in the business.

Thanks for the replies, everyone! I'll look into Mindspring today!

I've been using NetZero for both landline and hooking up a Palm IIIc to the net via a connection kit for my Motorola i1000+ phone... both are extremely reliable. If you can put up with the ads on the desktop, then it's fine and free.

How did you get your password ID for Netzero access via the PDA. I have not been able to use Rasspy successfully to do that with Net zero. Your help would be valuable.
MSN works fine with my Visor (both a Prism and Deluxe) and SpringPort modem.
