-- Palm Desktop 3.1? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=8431)
Welp...Palm released palm desktop 3.1, and one of its bug fixes is enabling IR hot syncing in win2k.
---
Some computers with Windows 2000 installed cannot synchronize with Palm handhelds via the infrared port. This problem is related to changes in Windows 2000 IR configuration. HotSync manager has been updated to accommodate these changes.
---
Now...when will the handspring version be out?

IR sybc
Come on HS...leaving IR syncing up to third party, which I can't get to work anyway, is really disappointing.
Anybody gotten IR LInk 1.5 at http://www.iscomplete.com to work, per the instructions at http://www.handspring.com/support/t...infrared.jhtml?

I was playing with it today, both on Win98 and on Win2K. It doesn't seem to work for me. If I go in IrLink and do "Device Discovery" it finds my PC just fine. When I try to sync my PC tells me that something is trying to send to it, but the syncing never happens.
How is your HotSync manager supposed to be set up in order for this to work? I assumed I had to enable Serial sync and set the COM port to what my IR port is set to. But when I do that it says the port is busy. When I select a free port (other than COM1) it does what I described above, my PC detects an IR link but the sync doesn't happen.
