-- NuShield and Platinum (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=9327)
I got my Platinum yesterday. I put the NuShield protector on it before activate it. However, after turning on the Platinum for the first time and furiously tapping on the screen, it does not detect the taps. I then remove the NuShield protector and it detects the taps.
Does anyone experience this? Have anyone tried WriteRights with the Platinum? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Try this
IMHO, I use and recommend homemade vinyl screen protectors. They work great, and with no problems. There are various threads on this subject-just look around. You can try the How to section and read "reliable screen protection".

I second handspringer's notion. I also find that I can have better texture and clearer writing with homemade protectors.

Homemade screen protectors quickie
Hello,
Here is the quick rundown on how to quickly make screen protectors. Go to Kinko's (or anywhere else that sells one at a time) and get a single sheet protector (the 8.5x11 clear pocket with 3 holes on the side). They have heavy and super heavy, get the lighter one. Use your favorite page layout program (I use Pagemaker 6.5) and set up a line 65mm from the left side of the page going up & down. Then one going from left to right 85mm from the top of the sheet. I recommend that at this point you continue with the lines to fill the page with 65x85mm rectangles. Print out the sheet, slip it into the protector and cut out along the lines. You'll have to loosen the screws on the visor, then slip the plastic sheet under the case. They last quite a long time and you get about 12 for 25
If you have any questions or want a PDF template you can print out, let me know.
