I ordered the RhinoPak 2000 and am more than happy with it. First, I ordered it at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 22nd from Outpost.com and received it at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, the 23rd. And the overnight shipping was FREE!
Things I like about the RhinoPak 2000:
1) It is small and compact.
2) The elastic cross-straps make it easy to snap the Visor securely in place. I like that I don't have to glue a velcro strip to the back of the Visor, like most of the leather cases I've seen.
3) Plenty of pockets - inside and out (zippers everywhere!) I use a Palm Pilot stylus and it slips into the inside front pocket very nicely.
4) There is a loop for a pen/pencil and there are slots for two sets of spare batteries.
5) It seems to be pretty nicely padded.
6) Plenty of handles and loops on the outside make for alot of carrying options.

Things I don't like:
1) At $39.95, it is a bit pricey. Since Outpost.com pays the shipping, I figure I saved a little bit over ordering from another source, where I'd have to pay shipping.
2) The logo on the front of the Pak is too big and kind of tacky looking.
3) Most of the vendors I checked only carried one color: black. More variety would have been nice. Even at that, it still looks OK.

It doesn't fit in a pocket too well (unless it's a big coat pocket) but then my pocket size Franklin binder never did either. It fits comfortably in the palm of the hand. There is also a small handle on the side.

I also like this case. Seems like just
enough to protect the Visor in transit.
You can even fit the cradle in there
without exerting too much force

I got it and sent it back - was too big. It made me look like I was packing a gun or something.

Instead, I ordered a Devian DVP-3: http://store.yahoo.com/pilotgear/devian.html . It was much more of what I was looking for - a wallet/Visor holder.

I'll see how I like it when it arrives.

I got the RhinoPak 2000 for christmas...i asked for it.

I like the pockets and the size. It looks like it'll handle a few modules in the future without a problem aswell. (modem, MP3, etc.) It's probably one of the best cases for travelling. The pocket on the back is a perfect fit for a passport while the front flip pocket is easy enough to get to for folded airline tickets, etc. It's also quite weather proof.

Only dislike. I have the Visor cover held inplace with the top 2 straps doing a 'cross your heart' deal while the bottom two sit idle. I find this holds the Visor tightest. Otherwise, these straps could have been cut shorter so that the 'cross your heart' deal wouldn't be necessary.

I like the strap on the side too.

Overall 4 out of 5.

i love my rhinoskin 2000 - my only issue is the pen loop. if you use that inside pocket for a pad the pen is in the totally wrong place. i just use smaller pads and put the pen in that inside pocket as well. i love the back pocket for carrying zip disks and my backup module because it has that nice soft padding. plus i think it looks ultra cool (important for those of us who care, i guess.) anyway, i agree with kentd about the size issue - i mean, if you're buying a case you're pretty much denying yourself the pocket-type benefits. oh, and hoser - my visor fits just fine in the suggested strap configuration - no cross your heart, all four straps, etc. if you make sure to really snap the visor to the cover, it holds really tightly with no room for slippage.

I just received my Rhino Pak 2000 from Outpost.com (who shipped it overnight for free) and I'm very happy with it. By securing the hard plastic cover to the 4 elastic straps, my BVDx snaps into/out of place very easily.

I'm using the front webbed pocket to store my new Rio 500 mp3 player, and the tiny front zippered pocket to hold the earphones and an extra battery for it as well. The back zippered pocket seems just right for a number of things (ZIP disks, etc.) but right now I'm using to hold the 'cheapo' leather case that HS shipped with my Visor.

This way my VDx has protection while I'm travelling or going back and forth from the office. But when I reach my destination and want to become a lot more portable I can just pull out the leather case and pop the Visor in there. I've stashed a 'Pilot Pentoptia' in the pen loop, but I just put the clip in it rather than the whole barrel of the pen. That way it is more acccessible and seems like the barrel won't be jammed up against the corner of my Visor, thus reducing the crunch (*!EEP!*) factor considerably.

The 2 battery pouches are nice,the padding seems just right, and other than the fact that it was just a bit pricey I'm a satisfied customer. The cordura seems very durable, and though I'm sure it won't protect my baby the way a TI Slider case would, it meets my needs (travel) better than anything else I've seen yet. Looks like there is more than enough room to stash a few Springboard modules too as they become available.

All in all, I give it an 8 out of 10. Has anyone tried using a separate case with this thing yet? I wouldn't mind having a small case that just barely covers the VDx as long as it fits into the elastic well. I wonder how well a TI Slider would fit in there? Hmmmmm.....

I also have and like the RhinoPak 2000. I just use it for transporting however. My Visor has the plastic cover snapped on, slipped into the leather slipcase and then secured into the RhinoPak with the 4 straps. It's too big, to me, to be my regular case. Once at work, I just carry the Visor in the slipcase...

Eventually I'll replace the silly slipcase with a more wallet type case and do the same thing. I tried securing the Visor to the snap lid with the tieddowns in between, but it leave the screen too exposed for my taste.

Right now I have 2 sets of batteries and not much else, although I can see it taking a couple of springboards and styli in the near future, as well as my money clip and pager (hate wearing those things!)...

For those that care, RhinoSkin (on the it's homepage) is advertising "factory seconds" (w/blemishes but no functional problems) for 24.95! I'dve bought it that way for sure!~
