Talking

Hey all,

I haven't been keeping up on visor central discussions lately. Been too busy.

I ordered the keyboard on 4/2, it was shipped on 4/21, and arrived 4/23 by ups 2nd day. Impressive since it traveled from Canada to Hawaii over the weekend in less than two days.

It did not come with a case that I had read mentioned in another thread. Was I supposed to get one? While the keyboard does look and feels sturdy, a case would still be nice.

It works just fine and feels great! Response time is excellent, as fast as I can type. There are controls for adjusting the repeat speed and the pause before repeat. There is also an option to turn on an audible click for each key stroke. The software comes with 9 customizable shortcuts to applications and has a help file that contains the standard shortcuts (don't need to tote the manual around). It didn't conflict with any of the hacks that I currently have installed or I haven't noticed yet.

Opening the keyboard and setting it up takes seconds and my BVDx literally snaps in place. Look on your hotsynch craddle. Notice the two plastic tabs framing the connectors? The stowaway has two tabs that snap into the same place those plastic tabs go. It is very secure and actually requires a tiny bit of force to remove the visor from the keyboard. I'm sure if I held the keyboard w/visor upside down and shook, the visor wouldn't fall off. I'm not going to conduct that experiment however.

Now for a case and the GPS receiver.

Cheers,
Vital
