Question Why have certain Stowaway keys died?

Hello all,

I'm hoping to access your collective brains to answer this question....

My Stowaway keyboard is about 1 1/2 years old (yes, out of warranty of course!). About 2 months ago, I tried using the keyboard with my Vdx and it worked fine.... except for 3 keys. The "M" & "," & "." keys do not respond at all. All other keys work perfectly.

First of all, it's not like I've used this keyboard very hard, perhaps a few dozen times. It has been cared for meticulously, always kept in a padded case. And I have updated to the newest driver, with the same result.

I don't think it's a coincidence that the 3 dead keys are all next to each other, implying there is a broken circuit on that portion of the keyboard. Has anyone ever heard of this problem? Better yet, does anyone know how to fix it?? I've removed the affected keys in an attempt to spot some kind of obvious flaw, with no luck.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

only problem I've had in about a year of heavy use is the bottom clip doesn't close anymore. Looks like it was bent due to closing the case carelessly. Oops...
