Question

Getting my first Visor in a few days (Visor Edge). I've been using MS Outlook for address and calendar functions. However, I'm wondering is the software that comes with Visor is better and easier to use and hot sync.

Which would you use?

Thanks for the input.

I do both (outlook at work, palm desktop at home). Outlook is very nice, esp if your company uses it a lot. However, there can be problems with replicating appts and contacts: you just kinda have to keep an eye on it. Really, though, it's pretty smooth.

Palm Desktop is 100% idiot proof. Works seamlessly, period. However, it's not as userfriendly as outlook...

I'd say that if you use outlook, sync to that.

I would agree, especially if you use Outlook for appointments. That would save you from having two copies of every appointment (one in Outlook, one in Palm DSesktop).

This is an issue of the conduit that's used. Palms/Visors come with PocketMirror Standard which does has more problems with replicating appointments and contacts. I would suggest looking into using Desktop To Go from dataviz. It is a lot better at handling syncing conflicts and in all is much more powerful then PocketMirror.

Talking Thanks for the info

I guess I'll start with my MS outlook at work and then use included software at home.

Thanks for the info.
