Unhappy Bought a new Prism - Hate Myself

Dang! The digitizer on my Prism died last weekend and I thought, "Well, now I can look into a newer more innovative product." But those springboard modules and accessories that I have called my shackles to Handspring, dit it to me again. I looked at the big pile of modules, keyboard, travel charger, cables, etc. and thought it would be such a waste to get rid of them. My work owns all the stuff so I can't sell it. I would have to give it away to a cow-worker who has a Visor.

I was THIS close to buying a Clie or an m515, but I weenied out and bought a replacement Prism. The springboard may not have taken off they way Handspring had hoped it would, but it certainly got ahold of me.

Talking Its Ok

When OS 5 comes out , with in a year everyone will have to upgrade. So while you feel some pain now, in the long run you'll be happy with your new color edge running OS 5! ? comes out next year and your office upgrades everyone to the MSNSpring (didn't ya know Microsoft is buying Handspring?)offerings

Well... I made enough selling my springboards and stuff on this forum and at Amazon.com to pay for my 'new' refurbished Sony N610, a good case, travel cable, 128 Mb Menmory Stick and reader, and even part of a MS Camera.

It is amazing how much PDA a bunch of modules can get you!

Amazon rules...

I also made enough through selling unused modules on Amazon to upgrade from the Deluxe to the Prism. I expect to do the same when I need to move up from the Prism. Amazon is the way to go in my opinion.

Amazon.com is pretty cool for this sort of thing- but you sometimes have to wait a while for a good buyer to come along.

This is THE choice if you are one of only a few offering the item!

Listing here is great for speedy responses. You will usually sell faster here, but this is also a tougher crowd on pricing- you'll get about 50-75% of what you can usually do on Amazon if you sell it here.

But... Amazon does not list EVERYTHING, so if Amazon don't carry it, this is a great option. Buyers here are pretty savvy, so you can post the URL and not worry about pictures, etc. like on eBay or other auctions.

Amazon.com charges commission, but credits you shipping. Marketplace here does neither.

Amazon.com protects both the buyer and seller and handles the cash. Marketplace does not.

Amazon does not let you 'dicker' or save by buying package deals. Marketplace does.

At Amazon, you are selling to strangers. Here, you often sell to cyber-friends.

Pros and cons both ways!
