Unhappy Cracked Platinum, what to replace with

Well my wallet cased Platinum took a dive to the garage floor today, landing squarely on the unprotected edge. I knew it was cracked before I opened it. Yechhh. Cracked glass and the screen is black like bloodshot in the corner.
A new screen will be $65 on line, I am wondering if it is worth replacing? I have NO spingboards and this is my 3rd palmOS device.
The Treos look hot, but do I need color? Other than that I am leaning toward the Sony Clie's, where the jog dial is a great idea. Do I go 360 or the new S10?

Your thoughts???

In my opinion, the credit card sized screen is way too small. Go for the 360. You might check out Dell, they continually have some kind of deal. The only problem would be getting an extended warranty (which I usually do on all my handhelds, having replaced three already using warranties).

I fell in love with color screens when I bought a Prism when Walmart.com had them on clearance last Christmas time.

From there, I went to the Sony N610 and fell in love with the Hi-Resolution Screen! From there, I went to a T615 for the memory and because I found a good deal on one.

I LOVE the Sonys with color screens! They are small, tough, fast, reliable, and generally great machines.

Now, when I look at my kid's Neo, I wonder how I ever put up with the terrible (in comparison) screen or bricklike form factor!

By the way, if you pop over to the marketplace, I am still trying to sell my N610.

Another vote for the T615c...I moved from the Platinum and never looked back

Thumbs up I wish to "opon"

I'd say go for these things:
Expansion: do you need it ? If you want more memory try SD or memory stick, if you want an MP3 player or a modem stick with Springboard.
Budget: To expensive or does it fit your budjet
OS version: 3.5 or 4.0

Good luck
Frank

Thinking about junking or selling the Plat?

Wondering if you might be interested in selling that Plat cheap. My VDX is going, and I can swap screens and use your plat chassis and MB if its not munched too badly.

Cheers

Throwing my hat into the ring...

Do the Clie! I have a T665, but the T615s are pretty inexpensive these days.

I must withdraw this comment. After careful examination in CompUSA, I found that the screen is not any smaller than the screen on the T665. The case is just more compact. My apologies to Sony. If they come out with a color version with MP3 capabilities, I get it instead of the T665! I tink I'm in luv
