If it now works, why replace it? Sometimes you will get corrupt data, etc, that will cause problems. I have heard some people can't recover from this, but if you can, just don't worry. If it continues, the answer is Yes replace it. Otherwise, No.

thank you for the advice, but after taking out my batteries it worked fine. After using for a day, i've noticed that my batteries is running out fast, espacially when i turn on my backlight, the batteries goes like 19%...........18%............17%.......etc (i used launch III) so what should i do?

I took the batteries out also. After a few minutes, I put them back and the Visor was working again. I used the BackupBuddy to reload my programs again. BUT I still have a problem w/ syning w/ my PC. I am going to call Handspring today & ask for a replacement Visor and USB Cradle. I think the problem is hardware related, either with the cradle design (i.e. pins between the Visor and the USB Cradel, or a hardware problem in the manufacturering of some of the lots of the Visor. Maybe over time a soldered connection is going bad. This "soft reset" problem has been w/y unit since I got the Visor in the end of November and has gotten worse (i.e. needing hard reset starting last week) as time goes on. I use my Visor for business and it it now unreliable if I do not known when it will or will not syn. My question is who do I call to get a replacement and what is the proper phone number to use. Calling tech support is useless on this matter. I guess I will start with Handspring's corporate office number that is noted on its Wed Page. Keep you posted on my results.

As a follow-up, I call the 888 number and spoke to Customer Support. I asked them for a replacement Visor & Cradle. They were very gracious and said they would send a new Visor out to me, but it may take a week to a 1 1/2 weeks to get it. They said to use my old Visor till then (of course my Visor is basically useless as it is now) and when the new one comes, send the old one back. She gave me a RMA number to return the old Visor, postage paid. Hope this resolves my problem. Will know in a few weeks. So far, Customer Service, is doing its job.
