Trouble with NT and Desktop 4.0.1
I am trying to load Handspring's 4.0.1 desktop software on my work PC (NT environment) and I am having a problem. I downloaded the software from the website and it will not run. I am assuming it is packed for download and should automatically unpack when executed, but I get a DOS window for less than 1 second, no errors, and then nothing else. I have been able to load other unrelated software this way. Yes, I have rebooted the system and redownloaded the file with the same results. I hope I am being stupid. Please help.
Thanks, Steve
Running the file should unpack the files and launch the setup program transparently to the user... at least that's how it worked for me on Win98SE.

I was able to install it without problems on a Win NT machine at work (once IS gave me administrator privileges on the machine, that is). Could it be that you do not have privileges that allow you to install software? Usually, I think Win NT notifies you if this is the case.
