How about Olivia Newton-John, will she fit in the back?

They sell Subaru Foresters here in the states! My gosh, here in the 'nati we're plauged with those stupid "Croc Dundee" ads with the fake Aussie accent. It competes with the:
1) Ford Escape / Mazda Tribute
2) Toyota Rav4
3) Nissan XTerra
4) Honda CRV
5) Jeep Cherokee / Liberty
6) Chevy Tracker / Suzuki Sidekick
8) KIA Sportage
9) Hyundai Santa Fe.
I've been in the back seat of one, it's cramped back there. REALLY cramped. The one in your handle looks decent, but when they were first over here they looked pretty dorky.... really dorky.
And it's not made in Aussie-land, it's from Japan.
BTW, bondiblue looks green, but by golly, it's blue. That's the color of my avatar.

I agree, the legspace in the backseat is a bit small, but for the 2 of us it is great...
It has a lot of cargo space though..it fits our 2 bikes perfectly in the back..
It is made in japan, and the design is very japanese, very clever things (hillhold etc).
Great car for young couples (maybe with small kids)
not really designed to carry 5 adults (IMHO)

Do files get embarrassed when they get unzipped?
I hope you were joking about the Coriolis effect. It has nothing to do with toilets, sinks, bathtubs, etc. It's a result of the differing speeds between the upper latitude and lower latitude of a hurricane, tornado, etc.

What?
D-R,
You mean that the way a toilet "flows" has absolutely nothing to do with the Northern versus Southern Hemisphere's? Another "old wives" tale shattered.
Next I'm sure your going to tell me that there isn't a real Easter Bunny that brings candy to the front yard. Gee!
Fat-Man: Elle's definitely hot but the way that ToolkiT describe's the forester and Elle being 6 feet, you'd better have ToolkiT send her over in something bigger.
Hey Tool, what do you drive down under that's more appropriate for consenting adults?

From what I understood from my one high school physics class 12 years ago, the Coreolis (sp?) effect does exert a pull on the water in sinks and toilets, etc.........just not very much. My teacher used the example of pushing a train locomotive with one hand: if you had a thousand years, you might be able to budge it. However, with the size of a sink or toilet bowl, and the time it takes to drain, it's negligable. It has more to do with the shape of the sink and the motion of the water when the plug is pulled.

I thought it was kinda funny when I wrote it, but on re-reading...it's kinda mean and hurtful... even for bblue.

Nice
Toby,
I think you are hitting the nail (or the pain) right on the head!

I guess it's tacit then.
This reminds me of people who say things like "bblue, you are a waste of flesh and the biggest buffoon to ever prove the need for birth control (no offense)." IOW, saying 'no offense' afterwards doesn't remove the obvious intent.
I simply think that the phrase you are quoting is no more out of place on VC than anything I say.
First of all, not your job. Second of all, you're obviously not qualified to tell when people are _not_ being light if you think that you need to lighten them up.
I certainly would not think that anyone in here other than a moderator would be. But more appropriately, my "impression" of you was rather light in my opinion, although it was no accident. I simply think that you're taking what I am saying far too seriously. Read on>
That shouldn't be necessary in the first place.
You're right. Nobody in here should be so "analysis-rententive" that they cannot take some humor. (Yes, I know you didn't mean it that way.) But be glad I'm offering too. That's what makes this different from flaming by a factual standpoint. I'm willing to get rid of it if you find it offensive cordially.
And you still haven't gotten the hint? Shocking. That was the joke.

For what it's worth, I must say that we just don't need these types of discussions here at VisorCentral. Even though this forum is Off Topic and this thread certainly fits the description, we just can't have members saying things about other members just for the sake of saying it, regardless of how light-hearted or humurous the intent... it's not what VC is about.
That being said, I am closing this thread and will not tolerate any others that follow along these same lines.
Sorry, but somebody has to be the bad guy...
