Address Book Categories and Outlook

I was wondering how to get my address book categories to be brought into Outlook. I have never been able to figure this out and thought someone on here might know.

I basically have a bunch of address entries already in my handspring unit that have categories associated with them, such as Personal and Business. When I sync to Outlook they come in with no categories. I was wondering if its possible to get Outlook to use these.

You need to upgrade the PocketMirror software that came with the Visor. Go to their site at www.chapura.com . You can get a free upgrade, but I think you need the Professional (aka: paid) version to map Outlook categories to the handheld categories.

That stinks, but thanks for the info.

The Standard version supports categories.

I just installed the standard version, and it doesnt support categories. Does anyone know for sure if the professional version works?

It sure does. You need to set the proper option under Chapura Settings; it's not part of the HotSync conduit, it's a seperate app that should have installed an icon in Outlooks' toolbar. See this FAQ for details.
