NuShields are better than the G2
NuShields have a special coating to get rid of the newton color blurs that form with the overlays. I've had mine in for over 6 months without problems. Since NuShields just slip in between the screen and the case, I was able to take it out, clean it and put it back without problems.
NuShields are also scratch resistant so you can use one for a long time. And if you look at the price comparison, you get three Nushield films for $14.99 against three G2s for over $17.00.
Aserenyi- are you an agent or rep for NuShield?
This is just my personal opinion, but I find it a bit irritating that you have resurrected some old threads just to add what appears to be a sales pitch.
It is one thing to add your opinion to every active thread on the board (heck, we all do that!), but to call up discussions that have been dormant for over a month seems a bit over the top.
And, if you ARE an agent in any way, you really ought to be letting us know this up front.
NuShields seem like a good option, and I plan to try them out next- if/when my current stock runs out AND if I am not too ticked.
I know I have ticked off a few people in my enthusiasm for Brandos and G2s- which I am sincerely sorry for- and I have been ticked off by other people's postings on some subjects (I won't use a Warman-based product, for example).

Just offering an alternative
I read through all the posts and did not find any reference to the NuShield brand. Since I have it and really like it, I just wanted to give others an alternative to that awful Warman stuff.
You never know when the next person reading the threads might find the information useful.
One thing I like about NuShield is that it is an American company unlike Brando from Hong Kong and G2 from Canada.
In these times lets be patriotic and if the products are the same, buy American.
Sorry if I offended anyone with my pitch, but I am very patriotic and hate to see money go to foreigners when there is a great American alternative.
Hey, if you are an enthusiatic user of a product you love- more power to ya!
There is just not a ton of need to go back and resurrect old threads to make the pitch- you can start a new thread or work with the current ones. Believe me, we got the message when you posted to so many related threads at once!
The point that the information might be of benefit to someone is valid- but to use it as a justification to re-open a discussion that has dwindled on its own is (as always- IN MY OPINION) a bit thin, especially when it is also being made on active threads.

Here's the link to purchase the Brandos in the US. Check out the fine print: "Resold Under License of Warman U.S. Patent Re 35,318."

OH NO! MR. BILL!
quote:Hmm...but these are sold in packs of 16, meaning they have to be replaced every so often. The Brandos are sold individually, because all you need is one. I've had mine on my Visor for about 3 months and still haven't had to take it off yet.

I found a place located in NYC that sells screen protectors that are very much like brando. They DO NOT have any license with Mr. Bill and are not 1000 miles away. Here's the link:

P.S. They are also cheaper too.

Same old Warman crap
I looked at the photos on their website and it is not Brando's, but the same stuff that Warman has been peddling under the various brand names like CompanionLink and WriteRights.
By the way, my original NuShield still looks new. Have you replaced your Brando yet?

Patent License on Adhesive Screen Protectors
If I remember correctly about this patent stuff, Fellowes was able to circumvent the patent issue because they bought Kitchen Concepts who were making these films before Warman's patent was issued. However, outside of Fellowes does pay a royalty to Warman, even the Brando people.
Regarding the question on costs, I believe I paid $14.99 for 3 films of the NuShield product and about $2.00 shipping. How long each film lasts depends on how much you use the writing area of your PDA and if you keep your stylus clean. A friend had a piece of grit caught in his stylus and tore his WriteRight to pieces in a couple of days.
