-- CF cards larger than 24MB on Win 2K (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=15964)
Quick question on CF cards. I've run into a problem on a HP digital camera where Win2k will not recognize a card above 24MB in size in the camera. The message I received from HP support was unclear if it was a Win2k problem or a problem with their software/camera. Since I am looking at getting either a CF or SM springboard, I though this would be good information to have clarified. So, has anyone had a problem getting Win2k to see a CF card larger than 24MB? Please describe the equipment you have had success/failure with if possible too. Thanks in Advance.

I use win 2k and win xp and both of them can read 64 mb CF and SM.
I use Zio! compact flash adpater and Smart media adapter.

I'm a bit confused. Do you mean that if you put a >24MB CF card in your camera and then connect the camera to the PC then Win2K can't retrieve the pictures? If so, then it's either a camera firmware or device driver issue and doesn't really have anything to do with Win2K itself.

Get a flash reader. Save your self the agony of using the Camera's drivers!
A CF reader is about 25 dollars.
