-- When to change batteries? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=2023)
I've been using my Visor for just over a week now, and am about to change my SECOND set of batteries! I wonder, though, how "low" you let them get before you change them. The first set I was paranoid and changed them when the monitor showed about 30%, after about four days (they were the ones that came with it anyway). Now I've got regular DuraCells installed and the monitor shows about 20%.
With regard to battery life, I should indicate that I'm running AfterBurner full steam without any problems whatsoever. I assume this takes a greater toll on the batteries than running at "regular" speed.
What do you do?

I usually change mine when they get to about 9-10%
I've found using Voltage control hack improves the battery life that I get out of an ordinary set of duracells. I also use ATool to keep track of the amount of the number of days that my last 5 sets of batteries have lasted me. I'm averaging about 12 days per set at the moment.
I've noticed that sometimes I can run the batteries down to around 30-40% turn the Visor off overnight and they magically recharge up to about 60% - Weird (but not a bad thing).

Ok, so I applied myself a little and found a link to Voltage Control Hack.

Enjoy.
Thanks for the information on Voltage Control. I had found it on PalmGear, but when I went to download it, it said the page couldn't be found. I went directly to the author's page ( http://www.pstec.de/ppp/pppsoft.html#S1 ) but found the following note:
"VoltageControl v3.2 seems to work, but it *doesn't*!!! I tested it briefly, and it seems that no warnings at all are occuring!!! I'll have to check that too - please deactivate VC for now. However, the lowest, most important warning is emitted - how good I never touched it with Voltage Conrol
... As most of you might know, 3Com is planning a general OS update very soon, OS 3.3. This OS uses again a different warning system. I'll wait until this one is out to adapt VC."
The page says it was updated 8/31/99.
Any thoughts? Anyone else had experience with this program?
