-- Optimum contrast setting for images (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=14836)

After a recent hard reset, I used the "SG maneuver" to adjust my contrast to maximum* from its factory set value, which was about 1/3 of the way from the left side. (I'm from the "if a little helps, a lot must be better" school.) But when checking out images in Splashphoto, I noticed that images appeared too contrasty. Sure enough, when I went back and reset the contrast to its original position, images looked much better. So there IS such a thing as too much contrast on the Prism.

*For those of you scratching your heads, this comes from a posting several months ago. You can adjust the contrast by going to Prefs, General, and adjusting your date to Jan 1, 1904. Hold down your power button as if you were adjusting your brightness. In fact, you are adjusting the contrast of the screen, not its brightness. Then reset your date to current.

PS - Speaking of Splashphoto, I noticed a minor bug with the desktop software: when you load two or more images into the holding area and then remove one, the remaining image takes the name of the removed image. I emailed Splashdata earlier today, and they just notified me that they had fixed the bug and will be uploading a new desktop version later today. Wow! What amazing customer service!
