A few days ago I got my Visor deluxe and the IR-com seemes not to be installed. My Palm IIIe can easily communicate with my mobile Phones (Nokia7110/SiemensS35i) and my new VISOR seemes not to be able to do. Can it be true, that I have to by an seperate piece of software to do the things I am used to do with my old Palm (e-Mail, News and SMS via Mobile Phone, wich is the cause I need an mobile PDA) ?

Ralph,

You'll need to install the SerIrCommLib.prc from the 3Com Enhanced IR update. Do not install anything else.

As for other software required, I have no idea as IR capable phones are few and far between here in the states. Try without the added software.

You can download IrLink 1.5 from http://www.iscomplete.com/PilotPrc/IrLink15Eval.zip
It is a trial addition, but should get you started in the right direction.

Yes, you really need IRLink 1.5 to do this. It has other cool features, too. I use it with a Nokia 8210, it works great, and I tried it with a Siemens S25, it was OK.
