Problems with VFSHelper @ Prism

I still have problems with the combination

Handspring Prism/Matchbook CF/VFSHelper

I installed FAFileMover (1.4.3/1.5.3) and VFSHelper(0.1.3/1.5.3).
First i enable VFSHelper ("Card found!" is shown). Then
i copied some applications with FaFileMover to the CF
and i installed Launcher 3 (v2.3b2), which comes with VFSHelper.
Now i think, i should see the appl. which are on the CF, but
i see none of them. FAUtil shows nothing strange...
When i press "Info" at VFSHelper, "Test complete" appears
at the end. So i think the CF is o.k. ...

What could i made wrong?

Mike

Did you copy the appl's to the correct directory on the CF card? I think it's supposed to be in /PALM/Launcher for Launcher III to find them.

Ahhhhhhhh! Thnx!
THAT i made wrong! I called the subdir /Palm/Launcher instead of /PALM/Launcher...

Is the path editable, where Launcher3 is looking for data?

Are there any other Launcher which will work with
VFS available data?

Mike

I don't think you can change where LauncherIII finds it's appl's. It would be much better because we could organize the files on our CF Cards much better that way.

As far as other launchers that work with VFS. There's Workbench and Powerrun. PowerRun works with the normal palm launcher so I guess it isn't actually a Launcher. Workbench i'm not to sure about. You'll probably have to try that out for yourself.

O.K., thnx...

One more question: What about Doc-Readers and JPG-Viewer with VFS support? Is that any (free?) available?

Mike

There is a JPeg viewer. It's called JPegView, you can find it on PalmGear. As far as a doc reader, you could try handstory or cspotrun(i'm not sure if cspotrun has vfs support but i know there's a special version just for our CF adapters)
