Question

Is there a patch, hotsync revision, or 3rd party conduit available to allow hotsync to recognize the 8mb memory module?

I believe that BackupBuddy NG will save the contents of the 8mb memory module (if you checkmark that option).
I don't know if this is quite what you wanted.

Actually, I wanted to be able to send software directly from my desktop to the 8mb module. The handspring page says I will need a 3rd party conduit. I haven't been able to find one. My visor's 2mb is taken up by necessary programs - I don't have room to hotsync to the visor's internal memory and then shuffle it around.

Yeah, I have a VDX and still had to play musical .prc's to get everything on, but I still had room. You should be able to sync up to 1.5 MB and still be able to play with things.

It's no help now, I know, but I get the impression from Innogear's website that is how the MiniJam will work, syncing MP3's directly onto the Springboard memory instead of internally.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking of getting the Sixpack by Innogear when it comes out. Maybe they will allow syncing directly to the springboard memory there too!
