What is the largest MMC card supported by MiniJam?

I just got my new $12 MiniJam off Ebay but it has no MMC card. I want to buy the largest card that will work.

Will a 128 MB MMC card work?

EDIT: I did a search and found the answer to my question: YES.

TIA,

Ross

The minijam will support 2 128 meg MMC cards. Look on the innogear web site for a list of compatible brands.

I ended up buying a Simpletech 128MB MMC. Works perfect .

Someone must have really pissed off the people at Innogear because they have shut down their forum/discussion area

MiniJam Madness

I am also using a SimpleTech 128MB MMC card successfully.

I would guess it probably crashed from all the complaint postings.. For the latecomers to visorcentral , Just do a search on innogear or minijam here at visorcentral for a flavor of what I am talking about.. there has been a lot of bad blood under the bridge between the visor community and innogear.. Just ask one of the old timers about the fabled SIX PACK.. that's sure to get the blood spilling again..

Not that it would have made any difference as they probably didn't even look at it anyway..

<shrug> It does exactly what I want it to do: play MP3s. Although it does eat up batteries QUICK

Yes it is very power hungry.. I found I had to always throw my Prism back onto the charger cradle after each use. Or use an A/C adaptor I cobbled together for the minijam from parts I got at radio shack.

Funny - mine works for well over an hour without eating up the batteries - the key is to turn the Visor off so you are not draining the batteries on the LCD + backlight (if you have a Prism)

As for Innogear - they made a commitment that they'll work on a way to store applications on the mmc cards and they never came through. Partially to blame is Handspring since they turned their back on ALL of the companies which had basically carried the company (HS) on their back. If it wasn't for the springboard manufacturers there would be no Handspring. Unfortunately this company is going down... I'd be surprised if it survives this year
