Mini-Game Module
Hi All,
I believe a device like this will be a lot better as a combo game pack (maybe e-books also) platform. Instead of having let say - 20 to 30+ game program icons appearing in the "All" directory on the Visor; when this module is plug in the slot. The games (icons) will only appear on this module screen for your choosing of playing. Do you folks see what I'm talking about?

Based upon the prototype pictures, I'd buy one for under $100. I generally take my Visor everywhere I go, but there are some occasions where something like this would be nicer. I *could* bring my Visor to a ball game or concert or some other entertainment or social event, but it would be nicer to have the smaller module on those occasions. And support for the basic built-in apps is enough for me on something like this.

My mini-Visor straps on my wrist, a Timex DataLink. I love my DataLink because it goes everywhere I go, but I would never be able to get my wife to wear one. I think a mini-Visor would be ideal for her. Credit card size is the only size of organizer she would carry (sometimes she uses those small party-purses). I had to get her a StarTac because it was the only phone that would fit in all of her purses.
I agree with James, this is definitely (better run this through spell-check) a great idea to share info with my wife.
BTW, James. Loved the name of your news item. I shall name himmini-Visor. LOL

I don't know if this is obvious, but the "Mini-Visor" looks to be the exact size of a springboard module, not really credit card sized. I'm not sure if it would fit in anyone's wallet or anything. I for one would love something like this if it also doubled as a backup module. I currently use a backup module for my keychain and I've often thought how cool it would be to have all the data visible on a mini screen.

Here's another picture of the "mini-visor":

(Don't ask me to translate!)
I would buy this springboard to carry around addresses & some apps, like handyshop, when I don't want to carry the full visor.

This actually sounds like a great idea for someone with a laptop that wants to take some info with them. Not much need for a mini Visor (unless in watch form)
If this thing had the same basic funtions as the Visor I think I may have chosen this instead of the Visor. I do not need the hardware buttons but would need to be able to input Graffiti. Maybe this is really the next generation Visor. Looks like it would pop into the front of a cell phone.
They should also stick a tone dialing speaker on the back. Keychain phone number organizer and dialer! Cool.

, this mini-pda makes it possible all the same to take along the information contained in the VISOR in an extra-light way. Original and particularly well carried out, in a nice translucent blue case, this module could unfortunately find its public among the fans of gadgets. Unfortunately, the details and timetable for commercialization are not, for the moment, definite. __________________

Quite simply a reduced version of the four principal applications of the Palm OS: datebook, addressbook, to do list, and memo pad. Devoid of the capability for data entry![]()
I don't know why they couldn't make it accept graffiti or have the pop-up keyboard.

That would require a touch-sensitive screen. Sounds like it just has a plain old LCD.

Sorry... I'm going to blame this on the cold medication I've been taking
I guess it would have to be a touch screen, now wouldn't it?__________________

When I first read about this I thought it was some sort of joke, but after reading the posts here, I'd probably buy one (if the price was reasonable) so that my wife could have access to my schedule, etc, as James suggests.

I think this module looks great. With the larger size of the Prism, it would be great to be able carry around an "organizer" of this size.
Some details on mini Visor
Hi all, i'm webmaster of VISORguide.com the only french ressource on VISOR. I took the photos of the Citizen module. You can see them at this page with full comment : http://visorguide.online.fr/lancement3.html.
But when reading the previous letters, I must add some informations : the screen of the mini visor is a touch screen, which authorizes navigation between screens.
The 4 core applications of the visor where replicated with your own datas inside.
It is a springboard module that has the same size as the standard springboard module (like backup module).
If you have some other questions, try to ask me as I used it during a couple of minutes only 8-)
