PiDirect with astraware game

Anybody had Pidirect to work with games from astraware, i.e. Zap 2016, Bejeweled, etc. When I try it, the icon is not displayed(this problem happen with wordsmith too).

do you have more than 10 apps in the pidirect directory? The
beta only shows the first 10.

Mummy Maze & Alchemy work fine for me.

I have exactly 10 Application. Ok, Mummy maze is working.

When I use splash photo, sometimes if I do slide show and try to the main form, the screen become white. I cannot press anything after that. Is it normal?

I also got Zap2016 to work fine...

But Splash Photo doesn't work at ALL When I click on a picture it just goes to a white screen, I thought the Chinese review posted not too long ago had SplashPhoto working fine?

My splash photo is working sometimes. but zap 2016 is not working. The icon is not displayed too.

Note: Do you put the database and the prc file in PIDirect folder?(splashphoto)

SplashPhoto has been flakey...On my 2mb card (Filled with 10 images) It finally started showing thumbnails but now sometimes all/some of the thumbnails are the same picture and when you click on a thumbnail the image that comes up is the same size as the thumbnail and sometimes isn't even the right picture, does this in slideshow too?!

On my 8mb card everything seems to work fine, I guess that means...I won't be using my 2mb card then! Hopefully I'll get a couple 64mbs from NewEgg anyhoo

This interests me greatly as I would love to have MANY photos on my memplug and they look SUPER in SplashPhoto.

On you 8mb, did you put both the .prc and the images in the same palm/pidirect directory?

For SplashPhoto, you can put the PRC and PDB file on the SMC and run PiDirect normally. All the photo can be shown up on the screen. The only bug for PiDirect in SplashPhoto is silde show. We can't quit the slide show even we tap on "HOME" button.

Of course if you put a lot of pictures on SMC, the visor will need a lot of time to scan through the photo on the card. In fact, it might need a long time to get the data from the module to the visor.
For CF card, the speed is much faster!! so I need the Memplug-CF!!

my visor work fine in Bejeweled and WordSmith.... The icon doesn't shown up may be due to the limitation of 10 files, or you are using the 3rd party launcher. You can check the number of files in the directory or disable the 3rd party launcher first.

I wish you would have told me the part about the SplashPhoto not working in slideshow mode. EEEEEgads!
This went into the dreaded reset loop. Took me an hour to get back to normal. It's all so slow. reset w/up botton, move 1 app, crash, reset w/up button, move 2nd app, crash - you get the idea.

Ok, for now-no slideshow, I hope this gets fixed though, I can't live without it. I'll just go ahead and put all photos and SplashPhoto.prc back on my Prism.

INTERESTING MAYBE: with SplashPhoto.prc and only 2 images on the memplug, I was expecting to run SplashPhoto and see the 2 images.

BUUUUUUT I ran the app perfectly, and it showed in preview mode AND slideshow - ****ALL**** of my pics, even the ones on the Prism 8mb. Does anyone know if SplashPhoto searches across the memplug to the onboard 8mb or was this part of the .prc. I don't think so because there is no .pdb but what do I know?

eeist, did you have remaining images on your onboard? Do you think this causes/contributes to the slideshow crash?

gbgood: Why wouldn't it show both in the internal RAM & the PiDirect folder.

My 8mb card works perfectly fine. I have the SplashPhoto app & its SPPhotoDB-SpPh database in the Visor's RAM while my photos are spread out between internal RAM & PiDirect. Absolutely no problems, slideshow works fine.

I try to put the Splashphoto.prc in my prism ram and I put the database inside Pidirect folder. with this configuration, the splashphoto can't read the pictures database. but when I put the splashphoto.prc and the pictures database, it;s working. The problem that I got is when I do slide show and like wait for 20 second. After that, I try to exit the application, the screen become white and didn't do anything. I need to do soft reset. Anybody got the same problem?

I've got, I think all the Astraware games working with no problem on MemPlug with PiDirect: Bejeweled, 7 Seas, Alchemy, Atomica, Mummy Maze, Zap2016.

With games in general, make sure you load only the .prc files onto your memplug, not the preferences or any files named NameofGameData etc.

If you use a third party launcher, the icon may be in a different place than you expect. With Launch'em, when the path is changed and files are scanned, the icon defaults to the Main tab
