Never seen it, but I can't see how it could be much worse than Dumb and Dumber.

Well, thank God they have a way to filter out the posts of idiots -- that's you, boy.

Do yourself a favor and print out the posts that you & I have engaged in and show them to the most educated people you know (not the other morons that no doubt populate your home and others in your "inner circle") -- a simple reading of the actual text will let them know what a clueless monkey you remain, even after your years of education.

I will pray for you, son.
Moderators, can we ban Toby from the site already?
He's clearly a mental case with nothing better to do with his life but be a pernicious influence who never elevates, elucidates or educates.
If you go through his posts you'll see that virtually all of them are designed to negatively impact others by "picking apart" their words -- and then distorting their meaning and/or import to suit his own sick antagonisms.
A classic psychotic hallmark.

I saw Tomb Raider last night. It is probably the worst movie I've ever seen.

Ie; '2001: A Space Oddysey'- A breakthrough film in more ways than one. The special effects still stand up today as shining examples on how to make something not real appear real without detracting from the plot. Clarke was very involved with the film and from his comments, that I've read, felt it had been done well. I know Doug Trumbell through a friend so I've been able to speak to him about the film. Kubricks goal was never to make an "easy" film. It helps if you go into it with some knowledge of what's going on. It is impossible to make a film from a book and please everybody who has read the book, mainly because anybody who reads the book will "flavor" the story from their own inner self.
As to the Cohen Bros., I've never seen one of their films I didn't like. 'Miller's Crossing' remains my favorite Crime/Love story to date from the silver screen.
Best/worst are totally subjective and cannot be proven by logic since they actually come from emotional responses.
Films I didn't like and was forced to watch (I was a projectionist and had to make sure I put them together right):
1) Steel Dawn (Patrick Swayze in poorly down post-apoc. sci-fi)
2) Julia/Julia (Kathleen Turner in messy psycho drama with Sting)
3) The Picasso Trigger (sounds like an art film, was actually bad soft porn/spy film.)
4) any thing with Pauly Shore

1. Dude, Where's my car? Ugh!
2. Color of Night (Weird).
That movie with Kevin Kostner with..i forgot the name... Waterworld?
Thomas and the Magic Railway. My four-year old loves it, so I have to watch it periodically.
Ruined a perfectly good series of children's stories, and a decent series of videos, by changing the focus of the original series. Added elements of "magic" and a villian not present in the original series, to its great detriment.
Not to mention the completely gawdawful acting of Peter "my brain melted out through my nose during Easy Rider" Fonda and Alec "I swear I'll move to France if Bush wins" Baldwin.
Now, if Baldwin would actually keep his promise and relocate to the land of cheese-eating-surrender-monkeys, that would make my year.
bkbk vs. Toby = interesting match.
Simply because Toby dives deep into every little idea, and bkbk goes straight to the point. Two polar opposites!
I'll TRY to remain neutral, since this 8 days of no posts has lowered the aggrivation.
BTW, there's a little hole in the folder icon of this thread. What does it mean?

Oh yes, Jungle 2 Jungle was terrible. I don't want to get into it.... it was just TERRIBLE!

bkbk is probably the only person who goes here who will simply say "you suck" without adding extra lines to soften it up or divert it to appear tactful. If bkbk thinks you suck, that's what he tells you. Period. End of story. Don't question his word because it came from him, NOT you!
It's quite refreshing!
Toby, will spend time going into every detail to prove his point as a fact, or as close as it can become. He won't tell you you suck. He'll tell you WHY you suck, and what you did that MADE you suck, and why that MADE you suck, and why it would make you make you make you suck.
It's great, as long as you don't become a victim!
<superfluousness>

It's refreshing that he's unwilling (or unable) to support his opinion?
Isn't that what I was giving you grief about earlier in this thread?
Isn't that what most people do?

I thought bkbk ran away because the board wouldn't shun Toby for being such a hienous anti-bkbk (anti as in opposite, not as in against).
I can't support running away, you usually get at least one good kick in the tush when you do it.
And most people haven't mastered the art of looking dignified whilst running away.
(ok everbody all together in squeaky Monty Python voices "Run away! Run away!)
Is he back?

No, he'll just add a four page rant about an unrelated topic having something to do with either video or audio recording of all of the people in the world who are persecuting him.
It's quite refreshing!
Hardly. It's boring. I'll take the guy who backs up his statements any day, even if I don't agree with his premise or conclusions.

"Hey, you mess with the bull, you get the horns. Know what I'm sayin'?" - Watts
Here we have a classic example of Toby!
