-- Innogear gives away your information! (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=11641)

Angry

If you check out the Innogear website, they show that the 6-pack is not being produced "Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Six Pack Combo product will not be offered. Please click here to be notified of future alternatives when they are available."

When you click the link you are taken to http://store.innogear.com/registration.cfm

When I went there this morning here is what I saw!!

LINK REMOVED TO PROTECT PRIVACY

So now they not only lie about their products, but also share your info with the world!

Slacker,

I don't get it. How does that jpg show that innogear is giving away your info?

I presume that is a snap shot taken by Slacker showing the screen he got, populated with somebody elses details.

Therefore there is(was?) a security whole within InnoGears system.

Is that your info in the .jpg? If ir is, it's probably something with cookies that's remembering that you already filled out the form.

Uh, no. That is not me. I would know if it were showing my own information. That is a screen shot I took when I saw the page.

Come on guys, give me SOME credit.

I'd send them the screenshot and let them know they have a problem.

btw...I went to that page this morning and got a blank form.

Posted by Slacker on 02-08-2001 05:35 PM:

Then I guess they fixed the problem.

This happened to me w/my minijam order. Some honest person infomred me that my credit card info was out there for people to see from a link. I got a free minijam out of the deal, but I was told it was fixed, and they manually updated my account with another credit card info (I cancelled the first credit card), and THAT updated info was then posted out there for the world to see.

I greatfully took the free 64mb model, but boy, was I ticked off.

For the record I emailed the guy. Also I removed the graphic to stop sharing his info...

Yeesh...how in the hell did they let THAT happen? Slacker...definitely let the person's info you found know about it and CC Innogear the same message.

I did not inform Innogear of their problem. Sorry, but I have absolutely no desire to help a company that operates as they do. While I realize that some information may cause problems for people, perhaps the lawsuits brought against Innogear for privacy information leaking would make them realize how bad they screwed the visor community.

I will say it again:

Slacker,
You are a true Jedi Master.
As usual, way ahead of the curve when it comes to scoping out the evil InnoGear and their malevolent "world-view" / "way of doing business."
What a bunch of psychos.
Keep up the good work.
You can rest assured I'll boycott them too.

Sassyvisorbabe,

While I am very vocal about my opinions (and they are just that... MY opinions), I am not political (unless we are talking about gun control). As a small consulting business owner I am responsible to customers. When I tell a customer that I am going to deliver, I deliver. I don't make excuses, I don't blame other people. If I open my mouth and say yes, I make darn sure I can back that up.

As for Innogear, they don't have a clue. Every time they open their collective mouth, lies spew forth. Kind of like when you have too much to dring and have to "give praise to the porcelain god." My feelings, which should be obvious by now, are that Innogear should not survive. Considering the crime they committed against us, they deserve the death penalty. Again, my opinion. But along with my opinion goes my money, and my money goes to the Innogear competition, regardless of whether the product is better or not.

Slacker
