www.topcities.com gives direct FTP capability and 150mb of space. You have to put up with banner ads, but hey, it's free.

I have 10mb of unused space on my ISP's web server (Verizon), that I can use to host some pics for our little group (I'm BimBoy on the UD team). Lemme know if I can help. I can upload any pics you got, and give you the urls for the hypertext link.

I'm one of the new ones, but I'm not sure how much longer I'll remain. I'm running a wimpy celeron 466 and the UD agent is whipping its butt. The system stalls while I'm gone causing me to turn off/on the PC. I've had it stall the OS while I'm writing long emails too. I removed the software for now so I can get some work done, everything works great without it.

Sorry to hear about the problems. My machine at home (PII/233/128) kicks out a unit every day or two. I run it as a screen saver only, and it has not caused any problems for quite a while. I will admit that it would all but "choke" when I ran it full time.

You may want to check out the message boards over at UD. The folks there are generally more than willing to help.

Where are you having troubles connecting to the server, with your browser or the UD agent?

It is not unusual to sometimes not be able to connect to the server with the UD agent. It will eventually get through and go on it's merry way.

As far as the site, it is currently up& running

Actually, I may have 20 machines to add! At least on a part time basis. We just set up a computer lab (20 HP laptops, PIII/1.5, 128MB) that I could load UD on, plug in, and let go!

Then maybe I can try to run you down ...

Flips, then you probabally would since I am only running it on three machines and don't really have more to add.
