Hey,
what about VGA port (SB)...it will be nice to make a powerpoint's presentation from the Visor....just need a viewer...and the SB of course...

how about a springboard that directly beams the image of the screen to a whiteboard??

...hammmm. I am not sure about the grayscale, I guess it depends on the viewer. I think the viewer can support colors although the Visor cannot shows it on its screen. Maybe the port should be a kind of VGA card that support colors...I am not really understand the technical limitations. just will happy to take the presentations with me (in my pocket), to take out the Visor from my pocket,conncet it to the screen or to projector...and...talk

What is your current "dream" Springboard?

"I would like to see a presentation style Springboard. Imagine 'printing' your PowerPoint presentation to the Visor," Hawkins said. The presenter could then connect the projector, monitor or TV straight to the Springboard and control the presentation on the Visor. "You wouldn't be able to edit the show, just display it," Hawkins added.

This would be very challenging...the springboard would need to contain:

-graphics controller
-frame buffer
-clock generator

On the software side, you would need to be able to decode and rasterize PowerPoint files to (at least) 640x480 in realtime and send them to the graphics controller. This might require dedicated software to do in realtime on a Palm system.

A neat idea, but with the easy availability of laptops I doubt it is ever implemented unless the Springboard interface is widely adopted.

I think the whole point for the presenter springboard is to make laptops unnecessary. It's not that laptops are hard to get, it's that they're big and heavy.

Lots of people carry laptops with them primarily to show powerpoint presentations. If they can leave 8-10 pounds of crud at home (laptop plus charger/accessories) and still get their work done, a lot of them might choose a Visor + presentation springboard.
