Me:

Datebook==DB+
Phone==Eyecontact
ToDo==Progect
Memo==Wordsmith
Calculator==Calculator (but thinking about mapping it to Diddlebug)

No hacks for splitting/swiping the silkscreen...

You?

Two buttons:
- "To Do" is now AvantGo
- "Memo" is now WordSmith

I use Datebook 4 and have remapped the buttons for the split screens.
Wordsmith is on the Memo button, but I gotta tap twice.

Datebook-BugMe (for taking phone numbers or making reminders to myself)
Phone-PhoneLog (great app for keeping track of calls)
To do-Action Names (checking off and adding to dos and meetings)
Memo-pedit (I use my Visor as my primary notetaking device)
Calculator-TextPlus (I use this in connection with the note taking)

I flip flop on using BugMe and DayNotez on the datebook button, depending on whether I'm having a big phone day where I'm have to scribble lots of names and numbers(BugMe)or a more relaxed introspective documents day (DayNotez).

remapping

DateBook = DateBK4
ToDo = AvantGo
Memo = WordSmith

I never saw the need for ToDo. That was the first one to go. All my Todo's show up in Datebk, anyway. I've got the applications for ToDo and the others buried under "unfiled" because I never use them.

DateBk4 is indispensible. Far and away the best application ever written for Palm. I definitely got my money's worth there. I'm still getting used to WordSmith, but I think that, too, is well worth it. It needs work, but it's getting there.

Now if only I could find a good alternative to the Address app.

Darn it!

I voted "none" and then realized that I have Datebk4 mapped to the Datebook button. I guess I don't really consider it remapped, since the app is still my "datebook."

Also, once in Datebk4, I let Datebk4 handle the buttons to display addresses, todos, and memos internally.

Posted by YBYSAIAH on 03-14-2001 09:41 PM:

DateBook = DateBook+
ToDo = DiddleBug (set so second press creates a new reminder... very handy for quick notes)
Memo = Brainforest Professional

[by the way, I had to "cheat" and look at the box to see what the original buttons were... my icons wore off long ago]

Datebook=DateBK4
Memo=WordSmith

cool thread

datebook == datebk4
address == tealphone (great rom replacement!!!)
