-- Visor warranty covers dropping? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=11240)

Unfortunately I dropped my blue visor deluxe on the way to work this morning, on the road cracking the case. Not the entire case, but just the blue part chat goes around the screen. It's only about 3 months old, and I was wondering if Handspring would replace mine, or replace it for free..so i rummaged around in my visor box looking for a warranty card, but couldn't find one! Couldn't find any mention of a warranty on the HS website either =(
please, someone help!

Here's the warranty for the Visor Deluxe. Unfortunately, it states:

quote:
This limited warranty does not cover physical damage to the surface of the product, including breakage, cracks or scratches on the LCD touchscreen or outside casing. This limited warranty also does not apply if any one other than an authorized Handspring representative opens the casing for the product or if damage or failure is caused by misuse, accident, modifying the product's components or operating the product in an unsuitable environment or in a manner for which it is not intended. Customers will be charged for all product repairs for damage or failure not covered by this limited warranty.

I would suggest calling them anyway. They might just replace it for you. It can't hurt to try.

Arrow Good News?

Leo:

If the case is broken and the LCD display is still intact (ie not broken or cracked), you can get your unit replaced free of cost! The warranty covers everything except a broken or damage display. Call Customer Service and tell them your case has a crack and you need it replaced.
