I posted a note her a week ago noting that the Gadget Guru had mentioned the Visor was available in some stores. Obviously that was wrong.

This weekend the Guru was busted in Miami for trafficing cocaine. No wonder his info was unreliable. The Gadget Guru appeared frequently on NBC's today show.

Chris,

I've searched around and can't find a link to the story. It happened Saturday in Miami. I heard about it on a local tv newscast. If I run across something I'll post it.

I saw the same story--on the Drudge Report. I think it's www.drudgereport.com, but I'm not positive. (Do a search on Yahoo! ya lazy buggers!)

From today's Houston Chronicle:

Andrew "Andy" Pargh, an electronic products reporter who appears on NBC's Today show as the Gadget Guru, has been arrested on a felony count of cocaine trafficking.

Pargh, 45, was arrested early Saturday morning in Sunny Isles, Fla., just north of Miami Beach. He was released on $50,000 bond four hours later, according to an official at Miami-Dade County Jail.

Miami-Dade Police released no statement on the case, and refused further comment, citing the ongoing investigation.

Buck, I meant to do a search for the Drudge Report. Since the story's been posted, though, I guess that's a moot point.
