Question

Has anybody noticed the plastic sides of their Visor becoming more flexible? Today while holding my Visor in my right hand I noticed the left hand side of my Visor felt a bit "flexible" while the right remains solid.

Thanks,
Peter

No. The only flexible part on my visor is the battery cover.

When I first used the two Visors that I bought, there was no creaking or flex in the sides. Now there's a little--about as much as my friend's IIIx. I think the plastic is just getting worked in and it's most likely a normal thing from squeezing the sides slightly while working with it. But I do know what you're referring to.

Peter...

I may be wrong, but my guess is that you have a color model. I have an Orange and Graphite Deluxe. The Graphite seems very solid--no flexing or creaking. However the Orange creaks and flexes when gently squeezing the sides--particularly the left side on mine.

Peter let us know what model/color you have.

David

Argh! I never noticed this until I read this post! Oh well, I guess it hasn't been causing any problems for me. I, also, have the OVD and it creaks and flexes. Unless it becomes a problem I probably won't worry about it.

Wink

I must be one lucky on-of-a-gun.

I have a BVD and the thing is as solid as the rock of Gibralter, No squeeks, rattles, flex or wiggles.

It feels much more solidly built than the Palm IIIx I played with at CompUsa.

My BVDX creaks a little when pressed on the sides and on the back in the middle. This happens on other similar plastic devices, so it didn't really worry me too much. I don't think it is a serious problem...

I have had my Graphite VDx for about a month and a half, and I have definitely noticed it creaking recently, which it didn't when I first got it. It seems to be the top half of the Visor, where the ribbed edges are, doing the creaking, and more on the left side than the right.

Cool

Thanks for the input guys... if it gets any worse I might give Handspring a call. BTW... I have a Graphite Visor.
