-- Hotsync doen't work w/ USB modem plugged in (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=2567)
I've got a PowerMac 9600 w/ and XLR8 USB card. I have the USB visor cradle and also a USB Modem plugged into that card.
If I have my modem plugged in, and I place my Visor deluxe in the cradle and hit the hotsync button, nothing happens. My Visor eventually reports that it couldn't find anything on the other end.
Now, if I crawl under my desk, unplug my modem, restart my computer, then try to hotsync, it will work. Then I have to crawl back under my desk and plug my modem back in so I can dial up my provider.
So, obviously, my question is: Is there a way to fix this crazyness without getting a different modem, moving my computer or getting a serial modem? Will the hotsync software provide a more robust solution to identifying the cradle amongst multiple USB devices in the future?
Thanks in advance.
