I suspect Handspring's new OS patch to fix the bad DRAM problem is causing my visor some problems. Three times now since installing the patch, my VDX decides not to turn on when pressing the power button. In order to fix this I tried performing a soft reset which results in an infinite loop. The only way to stop the loop is to perform a hard reset and restore all of my data. I'm going to try to install the Preferences Editor to see if this will solve the problem. If anyone has any information or insight, please reply. I plan to write Handspring regarding this issue.

First check a couple of things. Make sure you don;t have any previous (Palm) OS patches-3.1.1 specifically.

Next, make sure you have all hacks disabled. Once that's done the only thing left would be a bad 3rd party app.
