Palm Desktop Software Glitch

Hi - hoping someone might be able to help me out here! For a while I have been unable to open the Palm Desktop software despite having the latest version of the software.

When I try, during the program start-up I get a message saying "Cannot open the Contacts Database" - and then the whole thing shuts down.

Any ideas gratefully received!
