I ADDED THE "MOVIE SHOWTIME" MODULE TO MY YAHOO ACCOUNT IN AVANTGO.
BUT STILL WHEN I TRY GET THE MOVIE LISTINGS ON MY V.D. I GET THE SCREEN THAT TELLS ME TO GO TO YAHOO AND SIGN UP.
ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS???

I've become a visor junkie!!
Do you have the Show Times on your main MyYahoo page? At first I had movie listings on one of the secondary pages and AvantGo could not see them, once I moved them to the front page it worked fine.
Also, you may need to login to Yahoo on your VD. Then, the next time you hotsync, you'll pull in the latest frames you've got on your My Yahoo site.
You need to bump up either the 'link depth' or file channel size from the 'edit' screen in 'My Account Channels' within AvantGo. Worked for me.

Thanks everyone once I changed the link depth
it worked fine.

i'm having the same problem... my link depth is set to 6! what do i have to do?

matty.
hadrosaurs are nice.
I just got this working. I changed the link depth to 10 and the channel size to 500. I set them this high just to get it working. I will try to reduce them down to the minimum now that I got it working. The other thing that you need to do is make sure that you enter your yahoo ID and password before syncing. Does anyone know how to save the ID and password so that it doesn't have to be entered everytime?
Maybe the AvantGo gods just smiled upon me, but after adding the My.Yahoo channel to my Visor and submitting my username & password once, I've been happily chugging along with daily updates of news/sports/movies/etc without any additional intervention.
What I'm wondering, though, is whether the inclusion & arrangement of modules on my My.Yahoo pages actually affects what is synced to my Visor -- initial experimentation hasn't produced any results.
(I also wish that they'd give you a movies by title option as well as by theater, but that's a separate issue...)
I had the same problem getting the movie listings!! I solved mine by changing the layout of the 'my.yahoo' page (I have a 2 column layout that I use on my desktop). At any rate, I put the movie showtimes right near the top of my page on the left column, and it worked the first time! Previously I had them at the near bottom of the the 2nd column. FWIW, I neither changed my max memory or link depth....
