-- RhinoSkin Ti Slider (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=10512)
I am considering purchasing a hard case for my Visor Deluxe. I'm looking for something that will protect it from being damaged when it's dropped or from being crushed (i.e. in a backpack). So far all I have found is the RhinoSkin Ti Slider. Does anyone have any bad feedback about this case?
I had one for a while, and liked it. It truly is bulletproof. However, I stopped using it because it's was a bit heavy and awkward for my tastes, plus I wanted something with a beltclip. I exchanged it for another Rhinoskin product, (I think it's the 1100) which seems to provide enough protection without the bulk.
All that said, if you think your Visor is going to see some rough conditions, the Ti case is a good bet. I recommended it to my brother because he's something of a clutz with small electronic devices.
I have the TI-slider, and although I like it, I don't think that it's necessary. The case is like a rock, and I've even driven over it (not with my visor in of course), but I wouldn't reccomend doing that normally. I don't think that the case is really necessary unless you're REALLY going to give you're visor a beating. The case has many downfalls, and I would reccomend it sparingly.
Concept Kitchens makes a case that might do what you want, called the bumper case. The best sdvantage to it is that it only cost 20 to 30 bucks, much better than the TI-Slider at a hundread bucks.
Hope this helped,
BEN
depending on how you want to use the case, an otterbox might be a good cheap option. You have to remove the Visor, it's not one you leave on like the Ti Slider, but it's a great case, and will easily fit in your backpack. It's cheap (about $13), tough (yes, you can drive over it), and waterproof. There are different sizes and colors, including clear. The Otterbox 2000 fits a Visor by itself or with a springboard somewhat longer than the Visor (like an Eyemodule).
Good Luck!

No Ti
Bought the Ti Slider through Amazon.com (saved $30) wow. What an awsome case. Bulletproof? yes.
Returned after 3 days, why?
Visor kept falling out, when open
Ti case leaves finger prints all over it
Wanted a belt clip.
If you do get one I would recoment the Aluminum case same design as the Ti. A friend of mine has one and it looks much better, (no finger prints), nice smooth finish. It is made out of aircraft aluminum, so it should be about as stronge as thew Ti. Plus it is chaeper. Look around the net.
Well that is my .02 worth.
