Which brand 128MB CF w/Memplug?

I've tried two Samsung 128MB CF cards and they were incompatible with my Memplug. I have the latest software installed. My 32MB Sandiskworks fine.

I am curious to know which brands you use successfully and if you've had a better experience with one (compatible) brand or another or if there is a brand you prefer. I've checked the compatibility page, but I would like to get some user feedback.

I used the www.newegg.com 'Mr. Flash' (was that the name?) 'generic' CF cards quite nicely in my MemPlug. Someone suggested that they might be either slower or consume more battery than 'name' brands- and I DID think they were a tad slow, but not too much so. They were also the best deal on the 'Net!

I also used CompUSA/PNY 'store brands' in my MatchBookDrive, which has similar compatibility issues.

Success with Verbatim

My Verbatim 128 MB worked fine after formatting it.
Batteries don't seem to be draining faster than usual.

Ok, I just got a 128MB Crucial knowing it would be compatible. But it isn't. I figured I couldn't go wrong with their products. Maybe I'll try that Mr. Flash or Verbatim.

I am using a SanDisk 128 with a MemPlug CF. It works well and is almost as fast as my Viking 128 (allocated to my camera). I tried Mr.Flash, but it was half as fast. Mr.Flash is the lowest cost CF that I know of.

Kodak 8 MB works well. Kingston 16 and 128 do not work at all.

Go find a SanDisk at Costco. They have great prices.
