-- Problem with 16 bit apps? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=16533)
I mean 4 bit apps.....
Got my new Edge on Thursday, and I love it! The form factor is great, and the thing just feels solid (I even love the new stylus, which a number of people here seem to hate). I have run across a problem that concerns me, though.
I was getting gas today, and I usually record the mileage in ThinkDB. As usual, I created a record, entered the odometer reading, and shut the Edge off before pumping gas. I got back in and hit the power button so I could enter the rest of the data, and was greeted with a blank screen. Powered the Edge on and off a few times, nothing.
Just to see if I could get anything, I pressed the home button, and the Main menu screen popped right up! Restarted ThinkDB, and everything looked fine.
So when I got home I started playing around a bit. Tried this on the calculator, since there are some grey buttons on there. It seemed to work fine. Then I tried DiddleBug. Usually I get the titlebar menu displayed, but after I powered off and back on, I not only had the same problem I had with ThinkDB, I can no longer get the titlebar menu to display no matter what I try.
Does anyone else have this problem?

No.

Cool. After reading this I decided to go through the usual soft reset, warm reset routine before calling tech support. Soft reset seems to have corrected the problem.
Thanks for the info!

No problem.

Hate to keep dredging this up, but it happened again yesterday.
Started the calculator and could barely read the numbers in the top of the display. The clear button was also almost invisible. Soft reset seems to have corrected the problem again, but this is going to get annoying fast if I have to reset it every couple of weeks. I'd call tech support, but I have no idea what's causing it, and it doesn't happen regularly.
Anyway, just thought I'd add another data point.

I'd have them send you a new one.
