I have been talking with the company that makes and designs the stowaway keyboard. ( http://www.thinkoutside.com )They than lisecne it out to Targus, and Palm.

GOOD NEWS!

They tell me, that BY JULY the EDGE version of the STOWAWAY will be availbe to OEMS. (like targus.)

The thing is - the keyboard is the same with a different connector. Why not just make an adapter or offer a $20 exchange service for new handhelds? Instead I have to add $100 to the cost of a M505 or Edge to realize the full cost of switching, which is obscene. That makes the new M505 almost $600 for me! I don't think so!

The prospect of buying a new keyboard is keeping me away from a new handheld. I use my VDx and Stowaway 4-5 times a week taking notes in meetings and in classes. The keyboard is not an accessory - it is absolutely necessary. When I occasionally run into a problem with keyboard and it locks, I have to quickly switch to graffiti. The results are pathetic - errors and such a difference in speed! I can sleep for 10minutes of lecture and 'catch up' in no time with the Stowaway. Targus, are you listening?

I just received this email from Think Outside concerning the availability of a keyboard for the Edge. It looks like we'll be waiting for a while.
