Dying Visor Deluxe?
I recently posted about my backup module not being able to restore to my visor deluxe. Now I find I can't back up my visor to the desktop. I know the cradle works because my wife's visor backs up fine. I tried cleaning the contacts on the bottom of the visor but that didn't help. No visible problems with the contacts. Is this related to the problem w/ my backup module? Is it on the way out. I'll next try handsprings site and try using my backup module in my wife's visor. Any suggestions?
Have you tried a soft reset? That will usually clear up many problems, especially if you haven't done one in a while.

heck, if you have a backup module, go for a hard reset. or leave the batteries out for 15 minutes.

Could have sworn that I had done a hard reset since my backup module problem started. Did the hard reset and it cleared up BOTH problems! I can now backup and restore from both the module and the desktop. Sometimes you need a calm voice to direct you to that simple answer that's right in front of you.
Thanks for some great advice!
Fatal Exception
I tried to do a hot sync last night and got the repeatedly got the 'Fatal Error' Fatal Exception dialog box. I've done soft resets and a system reset. No help. I've also cleaned the contacts and made sure the serial cable was still on tight. Guess I'll have to try the hard reset. Hope mine isn't dying. It's only about two years old...
