Has anyone tried the service from e-tagit? Their web siter doesn't offer much detail but it sounds like a good idea.

They offer a set of numbered labels you can put on your Visor and it's accessories (or other devices like cell phones) that offer a reward if to the finder if you lose a tagged device. Then e-tagit sends FedEx to pick up the device and return it to you directly.

Sound like a great service. Anyone tried it?

I have it
Its a low cost way to achieve piece of mind.
However you are still betting on the person who finds it will return it.

I haven't given up on the world yet and for less than 10 dollars for the service I won't for a while.

identifying your visor

I've found that a business card folded in half fits perfectly in the Springboard cover, making it a handy place to stash some way of identifying a lost PDA. I also taped one of my business cards to the inside of the hard plastic cover that came with my Visor. Just got myself a Vaja case, so I store a few business cards in one of the slots too. That keeps a few handy to give to people I meet, and provides another method for identifying my Visor.

i use PadlockPlus hack which displays a message on my visor when it's turned on with my name and phone number and if returned, a reward.

if they don't return it, the only way they can use my visor is to do a hard reset, so all my info is deleted.

that's my peace of mind.
